A New Day!!

The wind is blowing here something crazy today!!
48 miles an hour gusts!!
BUT, it has blown out some cobwebs...
I need to make a change.
FOR ME!!

I have to quit letting everyone else pull my strings and do what I need to do!

Or else I will be no good to anyone!!

I have to start eating better, (no this will not turn into a weight loss blog)

I have to start exercising again,

I have to get back to creating...(i have let that slip, with everything else on my plate)

I have to enjoy everything again, and not feel like

I am rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off!

Any suggestions? What do you do for fun?

I think we're all going to start having more fun once this horrible winter is over with! What do I do for fun? I used to enjoy thrifting and antiquing, but I never find what I'm looking for anymore. Once it's nice out again, it's gardening 24/7 for me!

I just started Zumba on Wii. I dont dance well, AT ALL! So its great to kind of "shake my rump" and not have to worrie about who's lookin, and its fun. I heard someone call it a huge dance party once, and the great thing is your working out. I'm SO in love with all the pin-ups you keep posting!!!! Good luck with your work out reg.

I like to take one day a week and just craft or shop or do whatever I want to do! It doesn't have to be all day -- just as long as I do something, unapologetically, just for me! Good luck!

It sounds like you've got your list. Now all you have to do is follow it! Sorry to hear about your yucky weather, I hope the sunshine returns ASAP!

It's not easy.....the big balancing act in life. And as a giver, many burdens will fall to you. But you're right, it is extremely important to take care of yourself in that mix, and put yourself way up high. After all, the very best YOU you can be will help all those others around you even more.
Sometimes, when I get overwhelmed, I make lists of everything I feel like needs doing at that time. Then I prioritize what I HAVE to get done that day, and let the rest go for the day after and the day after that. Put in writing some time for yourself. Half an hour to sit and read, or watch tv, or go to the gym....whatever. When it's on the list, you gotta do it. And even though I'm not really a list-maker, this works for me when I feel particularly busy or overwhelmed, and it's amazing how good it feels to cross something out when it's done. And remember, put time for YOURSELF on that list......
