MORE Decor!!

I know, I guys must be a little worn out
with all the Christmas decor, but...hehehe, IT"S FUN!
So here is another free image from my private stash to play with!
This is a collection on my hutch in the dining room that my Mother in Law and I started a few years ago. Every year she goes to Myrtle Beach with some friends around our birthdays in late October, and brings me back some great Christmas decorations for my birthday!!These are on our entertainment hutch. Some of my vintage cards I have framed, along with some family Christmas pictures.A big Santa on top of our TV along with a wire tree filled with my Great Grandmothers mini Shiny Brites!!Then finally our Manger Scene. The best and real reason for the season.

From our family to yours...We hope everyone has a wonderful, magical Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

More Christmas Decor!

Another free scan for you to use!
Well, I have shared my tree and my flying pig ornaments, and then my Annalee dolls. But here are some of my other decorations around the house!Sorry for the yellow, but it was night time and dark and the flash was WAAAY bright! I promise my mirror is clean, I had just blown out a candle! The little Santa and Reindeer across the top of the mirror were my grandmothers and mom gave me and my sister a set this year. This is my mantle with my GREAT banner from Priscilla across the top.I got a lot of "new" old stuff this year. These reindeer and sleigh were gotten this summer at the flea market, and I have had this Santa forever. The "picture" at the back is some vintage sheet music in a Goodwill frame. SOOO CUTE!

Another "new" old purchase this year. My hubby's stocking fell apart last year and mom got me this one at a thrift store last week, so from now on Jason will be called Guy. (I like it) hehehe! Let me know what "new" old stuff you have gotten this year!

Annalee Dolls

(hanging from my kitchen cabinet) Here are some pics of my FAVORITE Christmas decorations!
Like I told you all in my last post, my Grandmother's name was Annaliese,
(hutch in my dining room)
so she collected these dolls for years.
They are called Annalee dolls and have such fun faces!
My mom has most of my grandmothers collection
and has told me which ones I will get one day when
she and dad downsize their decorations
(I guarantee this will not be anytime soon!)
These are all my collection. I have found most of these at antique shops, (angel mouse with some other angel animals....)
ebay and now even TJ Maxx and Homegoods are carrying the newest ones.
I looked up the history of these guys and they were first
started by a mom in the 1930's to supplement the family income. She fashioned them all from looking at her sons playing.
That is why so many of the elves and mice have such fun faces.
The oldest one I have is this little sleepy guy from 1963! The one below is a new one from 2000.

(hanging off my TV hutch)

This is my newest little mouse...Check out that smile!

(This is my oldest newest guy in my entry way)

The vintage ones are my favorite, but every once in a while there will be a good one at TJ Maxx. In looking them up on ebay, there is a 6 foot tall dragon that is amazing...maybe Kyle needs another stuffed animal???hehehe

Here is another free image to use from my own private collection!!

Thank you to How Sweet the Sound for hosting Pink Saturday for us all!

Now on to other Pink Saturday pictures! Hahaha!! You thought I didn't have any more Flying Pigs left didn't you???? Fooled you!!

This is my FAVORITE flying pig. My grandmothers name was Annaliese, and she collected Annalee dolls. I have a great collection now, but this guy takes that cake!!

I will share more of my Annalee dolls and their history later this week!!

Happy Pink Saturday!

Snow Party!!

Some friends of ours had their son's 2nd Birthday party this weekend!
It was a SNOW PARTY!! I know some of you are reading this saying..."Snow..I'll send you all you want!!"
But, since we live in the south it is rare to see snow,
so this company comes out and puts snow in the front yard!!
It was GREAT snow!
Wonderful packing snow for snowballs and made for great sledding runs!!
Not sure who had more fun...the kids or the adults???
More Christmas decorations later this week!
