We're home!

Don't want to be, but we are home!! Now I can tell you about the trip!!
Hubby, Kyle and I all left for the beach last Saturday, July 4th, then my parents were going to join us on Sunday evening so we could have a whole day to ourselves! Well, the place we rented was cute but a little run down...we unloaded the car and headed to the beach, then to dinner then to watch the fireworks. When we got back to the house and started turning on lights....everything started scurrying around. There were BUGS! Big scary roaches....we packed everything up and headed back home at 1:00 in the morning. I WAS NOT STAYING!
Got home and crashed and Sunday morning called another place we had thought about renting and it was still available! We packed everything back up and headed another two hours BACK to the beach!
Did I ever mention I love my husband?? 400 miles on his truck, two tanks of gas and he never complained!! He is wonderful! We celebrated our 10th anniversary at the beach on Friday July 10th! We all grilled out shrimp, and scallops and had a wonderful evening!
I'll share more about the trip and some great shopping we did and
some amazing presents I got while away later!
Jenny

When you told me the story today I was shocked that they would rent a place with such a problem. Glad the condo was so much better and that you all had a marvellous time.

Thanks again to you and Mom for my delightful and unusual gift - I'm thrilled with it - you are sweet gals to always be thinking of me when treasure hunting!

The shop looks the best ever Jenny - Jasmin really enjoyed taking all those photos and got some nice shots to post on her blog.

Hugs - Mary.

Well what the heck???!!!? I just know that the Roach family was not invited but forced their way in anyway!! What a gruesome family indeed!! I would have needed some smelling salts! Arrgh! Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip...lol! Your DH was a real trooper!

Awesome! (minus the bugs)

I Love the beach, too. Was this east or west coast? Can't wait to hear more about it!

Hi Jenny.. Sorry to hear about the buggy snag in your plans as they were.. But glad other arrangements could be made, that all went well eventually! Happy Anniversary, by the way! Just got back from the movie, and will post about it in the morning probably. I'm still thinking on everything that happened in the movie, and really wishing I had reread the book again (refreshed my memory) before going to see it. But not to say you shouldn't go see it.. GO!! It was still AWSOME! If you're an HP fan, you'll still love it!.. It's just that NOW, of course, I can't WAIT for the NEXT one!!

Wow- Am I glad you got out of the "roach motel". So wonderful though that you were able to find a better place and still have a good time. And Happy Anniversary... Miss you- You must travel up this way soon for the Big Flea (no actual fleas are there however):)
