I am now trying to recover from one of the busiest Saturday's

ever at the shop, plus my pillow and my neck have declared war on each other!

I have woken up with a stiff neck almost every day for the past week! And, after Jimmy V week and then a busy week at the shop with our new addition....

I am beat!

But my house is a mess! So I might be another day or two

before I start posting good stuff again! And I do have some good stuff coming!

Many of you know that my mom is battling breast cancer and has been for the last 10 years. And so far so good! That is not the uplifting part! Since finding out she has cancer, mom has lost a job, married off a daughter, had a grandbaby, lost her father, moved three times, gone through my dad being laid off shortly before retirement, had another grandchild, had a daughter go through a divorce, had the same daughter get married and have another grandchild, and opened her own antiques shop, then almost died with a slipped disk in her back! AND unless you know her....you would not know she is sick! She does not let the cancer get her, she kicks cancer's butt and is an inspiration to all who know her! I have had such a busy week I have not had ANY time to blog!

I am hoping I am not jinxing myself by telling you all,

but maybe your good wishes, prayers, thoughts and

dreams will help this good news come true.

I MIGHT HAVE A NECKLACE IN A MAGAZINE!!!

It is just a local NC wedding magazine,

but the person who is doing the photo shoot with tons of stuff from our shop,

SuzAnna's Antiques, saw one of

my necklaces and commissioned one for the photo shoot....

SO....keep your fingers crossed!! It will be similar to this onebut different since I never get the same pieces twice! But if any of you come across a find like these pictures....buy it for me!!!!

I WILL PAY BIG!

First Day!

So excited to be starting first grade!

And we have already been so busy, that this was LAST Monday that he started!!

He LOVES his teacher and loves his classmates and

has already gotten in the "treasure box" so we think this year is going to be AWESOME!
