Promise of Snow!

It is calling for snow tomorrow night!

After crappy few weeks I have had,

the promise of snow is a wonderful treat!

Thank you for everyone's

thought and prayers for Sky dog.

We did have to make the hard choice to have Sky

put down last week. It was one of the hardest 

things I have ever had to do.

But we do know it was for the best.

She was in too much pain and we were just

keeping her with us for us, not for her.

We will miss her every day!

Healing Thoughts Needed

Despite playing with toys on Christmas morning

our furbaby Sky is not doing well.

She is 13 years old now and 

in the past few weeks has let us know she

is finally feeling her age.

We took her to the vet and she has lost almost 30 lbs

and is having a hard time getting up!

She is our original baby and it is killing us to see her 

not doing well. 

The vet says it is not her time to go yet, but 

it is not far off.

An Ending

For those of you who have been following

my blog for the last little while,

you know I have been handling my Great Uncle's affairs.

Well, I got the call on Christmas Eve morning that

Uncle Johnnie had passed peacefully a few minutes before.

This is a drawing of Uncle Johnnie done from

a photo from many years ago.

It was both very sad to get the news he had passed,

and very much a blessing. He is no longer in pain, and

got to spend Christmas Eve, his favorite holiday, with his family in heaven.

We will miss you Uncle Johnnie!

Christmas...

This is my best Christmas decoration.

After today I am holding him a little tighter,

and snuggling him a little closer.

My heart goes out to all those affected by the

terrible tragedy today in Connecticut.

line at SuzAnna's Antiques,

brought to us by one of our dealers, the lovely Miss Kim,

modeling her paint clothes!

And we brought Miss Mustard Seed herself to our customers!

For both a paint demo and a book signing.



It was one of the BEST weekends ever at the shop!

I have not stopped smiling since Saturday!
