Pink Saturday! 3-28-09

Happy Pink Saturday and welcome to everyone visiting from How Sweet the Sound!

Beverly has about 150 to 175 participants this week! I am going to be on the computer for HOURS visiting all the great blogs! This week I am feeling much better, mostly in part to all the goodies I have gotten recently!

I was in two separate swaps and got PINK goodies in both! Julie from Shabbywears was my partner for the "Winter Basics and Baubles"

swap hosted by Foxgloves, Fabric and Folly! I got the best package! The theme was something basic for your kitchen along with some bling for you!

Miss Julie knew that my kitchen is blue with red accents, so she sent me some great red and white towels, a red spatula, red apron, doilies and PINK jewelry! I have gotten so many compliments on these two pair of pink earrings, it is amazing!

Thank you Miss Julie! The funny part is Julie sent me the

same cupcake cups that I bought for my next partner below!

My next partner was Valerie from YarniGras for the "Vintage Spring Sweetness"

Look at all the loot!! The name of the swap really says it all!

You can't tell by this picture but each of those flowers on this beautiful apron, handmade by Valerie, have a pink middle, and the edging and ties are in a soft pink! Not sure if Valerie meant to do this, but the state bird of NC is the Cardinal.Very Cool!!!

These are hand made cupcake toppers with vintage Easter pictures...LOTS of PINK!

Some of the cutest little chicks that I placed in their pearl necklace nest!

A beautiful vintage book of spring flowers, some chocolate,

and some FLYING PIG bookmarks!! (Their picture did not come out)

After staying in bed all day Saturday I do feel more like my old self,

but the following was the best medicine of all!

"Momma? Are you feeling better yet?"

"Will this help?"How could I not feel better?

and went to the Puffs Tissue website!

Imagine my surprise when I found this little lady named...... JENNY!!

Who does not have a pink nose because she uses her Puffs Tissues!

So I am off to take more of this and find one of these to take my tissues from!

So hopefully I will not have a pink nose next weekend!

Pink Saturday! 3-14-09

Arrrrrgggghhhh!! Two weekends ago we had snow

on the ground! Last weekend my arms got

sunburned in 80 degree temps....this weekend 40's again!!!!

Why oh why does spring come in this way??

I need PINK to help me get through til the sun somes out again!Maybe I should break this open and go shopping!!

Or maybe I should wait for this box to come in!! That I WON from Scrappy Jessi's giveaway! Jessi loves Barbie who turned Fifty this week!! Thanks doll!!

I was going through deleteing some of the bad pictures on my computer and came across these two pictures right after one another....

My two "babies"!!! Kyle will be FIVE this year and Sky will be 10!! Yipes! Where did the time go??

Craft Night!

Saturday night I had a crafty girls night!

It was just my new friend Becca and I at her house, but it was so much fun!

I was so excited I forgot my camera!!

We ate and talked and played with crafty stuff.

We both have lots of friends, but none who are interested in the same crafty stuff we are.

We had a BLAST!!

I finished my banner I was making Saturday night and thought I would share it!

I used vintage sheet music, vintage crepe paper, vintage wallpaper,

new ribbon, sparkle tags, letters and ribbon fluff!

Sorry for the bad pics!! We are having wonderful

weather around here and have been spending time outside!

Pink Saturday!! 3-7-09

I went shopping this week and got some great Pink items,

one of which I am saving for my 100th post!

But I had to show you the fun Pink Piggy item

These are pink pig sculptures outside of a

cute little gift shop in an old Piggy Wiggly grocery store here in Raleigh!
