Birthday Presents!

I had an old fashioned Birthday Party at my parents house last night!! Just mom, dad, my sister and nephew and my husband and son. It was so nice! Mom made some amazing chili and the best grilled cheese sandwiches with Mozerella and Provolone! We had such a nice time!! I even got streamers!!

I got some great gifts too!!

A gift certificate to my favorite local craft store Panopolie, so I can take a class I have wanted to take! Some of the supplies for the class I have wanted to take....and.....

A TRASHCAN!! WOOHOO!Who gets this excited over a trashcan??? ME!! My mom and I saw it at a local antique store a few days ago and little did I know, she got it for me!! It is so pretty next to my desk! My very messy desk! I love it!! I also got some movies I wanted from my husband and son and some great Christmas ornaments from my mother in law!

Goodies and Giveaways!!

Check out this BEAUTIFUL bag I purchased from Elizabeth at Beth's Bags! I should have taken a before picture, but the sun came from a table cloth that was damaged. I collect, among other things, suns, moons and stars so when I saw the table cloth I knew something could be done with it! I CANNOT sew...I can do other things, but no sewing. Through reading blogs for a while I met Suzie at Georgia Peachez (actually met in person at Suzanna's Antiques) and her best friend is Beth!! Please go check out both these lovely ladies and their blogs, and etsy stores!! I sent the table cloth to Beth and no joke had the bag back within two weeks! She is awesome! Even the inside it pretty!Thank you Beth!

In other news...I WON!!!! Gail at Shabby Cottage Studio was having a giveaway and I WON!! Woohoo! I never win anything so this is SOOOOOOOOOO cool! I got the best batch of paper and images and some fun silver glitter

I cannot wait to start playing with some of these goodies!If only I can keep Kyle's hands off of the domino.....I have found it in his toybox a few times this week already! hehehe

And last but not least, I have been tagged! Erin at Shades of Color tagged me! Since I was just tagged with a six things about me tag and this is a seven things tag....I thought I would just add onto my previous list!! The seventh unusual thing about me...... I met my husband in 6th grade. yeah yeah yeah! We have known each other for 19 years and were friends all through school, dating other people and stuff (I even dated his older brother) , but realized in college that we really liked each other so there you have it! This July will be our 10th anniversary! Now since I already tagged all the people I know out here in blog land I am opening this up to anyone who has not been tagged!! Tag! You're IT!

Pink Saturday October 18th

Fall Flowers...who would have thought I would have found pink on the side of the road? On the way home from the pumpkin farm (see previous post) Kyle and I drove past a strip of cosmos growing on the side of a service road. I drove right past it, and heard a voice from the backseat say, "Can we stop and pick some flowers for Nannie?"

Ummmm, I'm thinking, u-turn, go back to the flowers, starting to rain ....."are you sure buddy?"

"Yeah, Nannie would like the pink ones"

How could I say no? So turn around, find service road, pull over so we are safe and look how pretty!

Kyle was hamming it up for the camera so I did not get any shots of just the flowers, but it was a fun spontaneous little outing!!
